Base -Check the stability of the stroller. The base should be wider than the seat and should be placed low. Try pressing lightly down on the handles and check whether there is a chance to tip.

 

Leg opening -Check whether the opening given for the leg are small or not. If they are so large there are chances for the baby to slide through the opening thereby causing accidents.

 

Recline safety– Check a stroller that can recline and can be used as an infant car seat. This feature helps you to avoid taking the baby out and keeping him in the seat . It gives you easy moving.

Footrest and armrest

 

Always choose a stroller with a single footrest. A baby will not keep his legs in one place so there are chances for the baby to keep his leg in between these gaps which can be harmful. Check the materials used and keep a cushion in between the spaces because the metal armrest may hit the bay.

Safety harness– Check the safety belt and the straps which keep the baby safe from slipping out. A protection strap is required and when it is in use the child should not be able to unfasten the buckles by himself. Many baby strollers comes with 5-point harness which helps the baby not to get out or climb out from the baby stroller.

The wheels-Wheel design gives stability to the stroller. These plastic wheels are prone to worn out easily so if you are checking for a stroller which needs to last long always go for the best of option where you have good wheels which are aligned in such a way that the baby will not slip and fall easily.
