| Handbuch der SchriftartenThe “Handbuch der Schriftarten”, this is the official name of the “Seemann”, is a book with about 300 pages of type specimens from out of the year 1926, showing all available typefaces in Germany. All the seven additions following in the years up to 1939, have the same volume all together. The “writer” has been Emil Wetzig, well-known in the graphics arts industry at that time. The information specific to the typefaces in the left row is integrated into the database and can be used online. The specimens in the right row can be shown up too. Doing this, there is the complete information available that the Seemann contains – without the historical obsolote information, in which point sizes the typefaces have been available. This is the “Digital Seemann”.
