In 1986, Berthold started the “1. Deutsche FarbSatz Contest”, where the ColorStation was positioned against its competitors. The high end color workstation “Chromacom”, manufactured by Hell, was present too. The system of Berthold was holding a quite good position here, showing it has been a senseful solution for typesetting companies.
